i have a V6 mustang 07 and have an idea of a setup but i need opinions on the pieces and i need mechanical info such as how much horesepower i can expect and if there will be any issues with the setup mechanicaly
here is the setup---
bbk cold air intake unit
bbk 70mm throttle body--uses factory gaskets
bbk short headers---will this still be able to use factory pipes?
flowmaster single exhaust-- how does it sound?--what is the difference in the regular and the 409 stainless steel what makes it better?? the cost difference is about $60 is it worth it??
--iridium spark plugs--will they make that much of a difference?--will they be too powerful for a v6 210hp motor?--will i need a higher performance wiring system to get them to get full potential??

also would like to know about suspension pieces if i were to buy any what pieces would make the most difference with the least amount of cost??? strut tower braces? front and rear sway bars???

I just bought a used 1999 4Runner Limited with a 183 HP 3.4L V6, i love the car but it has no "umph" needs about 50 more horses for its weight. I do not have $1,000's to spend on turbo/supercharging the engine. I know there are 100's of products out there from gimmick gas additives to air filters. So whats the best way to get the most HP hopefully without extensive rebuilding of the car, (hope for bolt on's). Would a new exhaust like (flowmaster) or something? and a cold ram air system be a good start? Thanks!

Whats the difference between the flowmasters american thunder/flowmasters super 40 series and flowmaster 40 series or is there no difference?

I have an '05 Grand Marquis with glasspack exhaust system. What would happen if I put a Super Delta 44 Muffler and a Magnaflow/Flowmaster Catalytic Converter on it? It has single, NOT dual exhaust! I want more of a rumble and with just the glasspacks I don't feel like I am getting all the sound I want. Also, it has the 4.6 V8
I did some research and found out removing catalytic converters are illegal unless under certain siutations?
If my converter is working but I do fulfill the requirement that it is over 50,000 miles (it has 120,000) can I legally replace my converter even though it is working correctly?

I own a 1995 chevy 2500 silverado V8 4by4 gas truck. I need to get a new exhaust system on it because the old stuff has rusted pretty bad. Im thinking about flowmaster super 44 system but I have a few questions about that. How many of the super 44s do you get? What cat would compliment the muffler? should i go dual or large single pipe? I want a deep rumble gut sound so what should i do to acheive that? Ive even looked at stacks, I no its a little unorthidox but people have down it on v10 fords and it sounds really good. what should i do the concern with the dual exhaust is my gas tank is in the way so it would be really hard to try to fit a pipe around that and the rear axle. how hard would it be to do all of that myself? i dont have welding equipment or anything so that could be an issue. I also need new headers. Any suggestions on that?

Im only 16 so if you could please keep a 16 year olds budget in mind,if you will.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I know this question has been asked a billion times all over the internet. But different vehicles/engines sound different/better. I have a chrysler 318 engine in my dakota. I have been leaning towards flowmaster since my friend has flowmaster on his 87 camaro iroc z and it has that loud deep tone that i like. But do any of you have different opinions?

I have a 1997 Chevy 1500...short box and no extended cab...5.7L V8 (350)....i was thinking along the lines of a single inlet/ dual outlet super 44 flowmaster. Price is my biggest concern...i don't mind paying a little over 150 or so, but defiantly under 200...I dont know that much about exhaust systems other than the main parts so leave detailed answers.

I'm trying desperately to find an muffler for my 09 Honda Fit and cannot seem to find ANYTHING. I don't know the dimensions of the fit's exhaust system so if someone knew that it'd be great too. I was looking at a Flowmaster 40 series but I have no idea if it'll work. HELP!

I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT and I was wondering, how much would it would cost me to install a dual exhaust system with flowmaster super 44 mufflers?

I have a 2003 z71 4x4 silverado (light pewter) Extended cab, its got a aftermarket Billet grill, it has k&n cold-air intake kit, with a flowmaster exhaust system, custom Genuine car leather (chevy emblems embroided in the head rests, and z71 offroad emblems embroided in the door panels), I have a 5 inch pro-comp lift kit on it, 35 inch nitto tires, with 18 inch moto metal black with chrome insert rims, I have a sound system in my truck 4 aftermarket speakers and a subwoofer 10" all worth around 1000$, it has a Black and Stainless steel bull bar on it, also Mfab steps. The truck is a 2003 and has 93k miles. I bought it used with 67k and 4.8L v8. anyone have a clue I put about 8-9k into it. I just wanna know an estimate. Or does anyone know how I can find out.

looking for a loud exaust for my car im thinking since it's 8 cil and the way ford configures its fireing order it is possible to get a better sound than a honda civic that seem to be what everyone around my hood thinks seems to be a race car. Im thinking around flowmaster but a spicific model maybe?

my car has the same 4.6l modular sohc v8 used in the 1996 mustang gt, i dont know if the same tuner would work. i know my car has the older obd system. i have a k&n custom cold air intake, and 2.75 inch custom true dual flowmaster exhaust. my car has great power, but im confident i can pull some more horses out of it... without having to do a whole lot more work!any info would be appreciated... im also not interested in those crappy "chips" and iat sensor resistors!!!

if so which should i get??
im not very familiar with exhaust systems but i heard that flowmaster is the best brand, i know they have different kit models so which one would be best for a 95 camaro automatic with a v6 3.4 stock engine?
my main priority would be performance the sound not so much.

I have a 2000 V6 Firebird with a fuel injection system, standard 3.8L. I can put either Regular Unleaded in the gas tank OR If I want I can put Premium Unleaded. What rules should I consider, and will it enhance performance and sound cleaner whenever i get a flowmaster dual exhaust cat-back system on it?

Im thinking about putting full exhaust system and headers on my car but dont know which to put first.

Would it be better to put headers first then exhaust

or

to put an full exhaust system(flowmaster) first then put headers on later?
i have a 1994 honda civic ex coupe
Its Automatic

I recently came up on a pair of doug thorley headers and for a bonus the dude also gave me a bolt on dual exhaust system by Flowmaster. I went over the serial number on the mufflers and they seem to be the 40 series...which are supposedly the loudest made by flowmaster. I'm in the Los Angeles area, do you guys think cops will be diks and stop me for sound violation, or would they respect a classic? I have a 461 big block, with mild cam.
By the way the 40 series I have are from the early 80's.

what kind of differences will i see in my car if i get a full exhaust system from flowmaster or borla instead of only getting a muffler. does the full exhaust system give the car the same sound as if you were to get just a muffler. what makes a full exhaust system better than a muffler

a pontiac grand prix with stock 3800 series 3.8 liter. cold air intake, wider intake/throttle body, ported supercharger, 2.9" pulley, intercooler, headers, custom computer, larger inecters, modified transmission, flowmaster exhaust system, rockers, lowered an inch and a half, high performance suspension assumably my friend says he has all that or my stock v8 Lexus sc 430
p.s. his is a yr 2003 while mine is a 09

Ok i have an 03 Toyota Tundra V6. i want a good sounding exhaust system on it either a flowmaster or a megaflow?? please give me some links for some cheap ones or suggestions on anything else you think would be better!!! thanks!!!

I own a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with a Flowmaster Super 40 muffler. Everything else in the exhaust system is stock. It sounds pretty good right now, but I was wondering what else I could install on my exhaust system that would make it sound better. If you could, please tell me how much the part would cost to buy.
Thanks!

Ive already added a bbk cold air intake, bbk pulleys, and a flowmaster exhaust system

How much horsepower will I get out of some of the stuff i want to do to my truck? I'm going to put a 40 series flowmaster on it running it to a magnaflow dual exhaust system. Put a cold air intake in it and chip it.

What's the difference between Magnaflow and Flowmaster?

Do they both increase the same amount of horsepower?
Save the same amount of fuel?
Which sounds better on a truck?

I got a V8 4.7 quad cab, and can barely hear the engine running, and it feels like the truck's being robbed of its power.
Which exhaust system will give my truck some confidence?

i am getting a flowmaster 40 series and i was wondering if i should get it dumped or if i should take it out the back......if i do take it out the back how should i get it done

i have a 98 sierra 5.7 liter.
i'm lookin for a deeper sound, right now i have true dual flowmaster turn downs. i'm kind of on a budget but please give me your opinion whether they cost alot or not. thanks.

A while back while I was in the market for a new exhaust system I ran across a video on the internet (pretty sure Youtube) that was of a certain company with a motor on a test stand testing different mufflers. They compared the quiet, aggressive, then open headers. I can't find this video. Can someone help me out? I think it was either by Flowmaster, Magnaflow, or maybe even Borla.

okay, so im looking to add flowmaster 40 mufflers to my stang, i want dual exhaust, and im still confused on exactly what all i will need to complete the full exhaust system.. i plan on keeping the stock manifolds/headers and buying the 2 mufflers and an h pipe...so is there anything else i need besides all that was mentioned to complete the system?????
any info will help, thanks

I have a 1987 corvette fully stocked and im gonna spice it up as much as i can. So what is the difference in the names of the exhaust systems? LIke the corsa, flowmaster and so on... Im looking to get as much hoursepower but yet save gas..i know you cant have both but i want a good exhaust system so that i can let people know im coming around the corner...lol Im probally gonna plan on getting a whole new system.

Im looking to put on a new exhaust to my 06 GMC Canyon.. im looking at either the cherry bomb glasspack, cherry bomb vortex, or a flowmaster... honestly im kind of a dumbass when it comes to trucks and all those sorts of things so i want an experienced person to give me some advice on what i should purchase!!

i just got a flowmaster exhaust put on my dodge srt-10 and it doesnt sound much diffrent then it did with the exhaust system i had on their stock.. the exhaust guy claims cherry bombs would give me a good whop sound but i dont kno if he knows exactly what hes talking bout.. i think i sould go with maganflows because they actually make a exhaust designed for my v-10 engine.. input please!

i have a 94 dodge ram 2500 with a 318, k&n intake system and catback flowmaster exhaust, what else can i do to get more hp out of it wit out spendin too much money because i know they dont make a chip for it cuz it dont have the obd2 port

I have a stock 1995 Trans Am LT1 with an auto transmission. I recently purchased a flowmaster american thunder exhaust (cat-back)
I am not looking to spend alot of money at this point but I really want to make it fast as some of my friends have bought cars with LS1 engines. What the best ways to increase my hp? I am also planning on buying a ram-air hood/system. Anything at all but perferablly less expensive. Any ideas for how to make the interior better? upgrade speakers? Basically anything to make my TA out perform and look more impressive than the newer LS1's

Thanks Alot

It's a 289 and I bought it with a new 2" dual exhaust system. The mufflers it has are too quiet for me. What would sound best? Any experiences with 289 Mustang no headers and one of the mufflers?
Flomaster 40 series, Cherrybomb Pro, Flowsound (a knock-off of flowmaster), Flowtech Afterburner

i have a 07 f150. Ive been looking at the roush full exhaust system. I have never heard it. I know it's from the same people that make borla, but its a hell of alot cheaper. im tired of the same old flowmaster sound. i am looking for headers also. so any suggestions would help. And save me the stupid ford/chevy trash talk and im not keeping the stock exhaust for you idiots who dont know about aftermarket performance and look.

Im not very smart on the subject
i found this on ebay
FLOWMASTER EXHAUST TIP cadillac CTS 03-07 muffler 06 05
and idk if thats just the tailpipe? or something that makes the car sound better?

and to make my car sound better do i have to bye a whole new exhaust system?
or just the mufflers?

I put True Dual Flowmaster with turn downs and when i was on the interstate, it felt like my RPMs were too high around 70-80 MPH. Would the new exhaust System affect the way it shifts gears?

Hi, My friend has a 1999 Mazda Miata, and they want to change out the stock exuast system and add a performance one. Now, there looking for a more agressive rumble/growl from whatever new setup they purchase. Question is, what do you all think is the best Performance Exaust System to buy for this Miata to give it that tone there looking for. Nothing whimpy or sounding like a fart can type stuff please...Needs to be more adult oriented. If you guys could help me in finding a good system for them that would be great...I figured something like Flowmaster, Magnaflow, or Borla...but wanted to get your opinions...thanks!!!
PS:::Dont know engine type, Just know its an 1999 Mazda Miata!

I want to put an exhaust system on it. I want a deep throaty from the gut sound on the exhaust. But i want to where the noise will be there all the time no tjust when i press the gas. Ive looked at hearthrob cherrybomb and flowmaster and dont kno which one and which set up would get me the desired tone. Does anyone kno who wto get the sound that I want? how much will it roughly cost?

Oringinally I was looking into flowmaster super 44 muffler, but to be honest I don't know much about aftermarket exhaust systems. Does longer tubes and bigger pipes make it louder? Does the design (x-pipe, H-pipe, etc.) effect noise? Would it be just as loud if I just don't put a flowmaster muffler at all and just leave it straight pipes (if that's what it's called...)?

Performance is not an issue for me, neither is interior noise. Originally I just wanted to "amplify" the sound without changing the sound, but after listening to some clips of the super 44's, that deep growl just sounds so bad ***. So basically I'm asking how to properly make my 1968 GTO loud as well as give me an understanding of the different pipe designs/sizes and how they affect noise/performance. Thank you for all your help.

(BTW if you're wondering my GTO currently has turbo exhausts on it to make it quiet [the previous owner did that] and also the car has headers. Engine specs: 400 cu. inch bored 30 over with edelbrock performance intake manifold and carb

I need help with customizing my 92 cadillac eldorado. It is white with black pinstriping. I am just looking for custom accessories to go with it. I would like you to give your ideas, and also list websites for me to look at please. I already have a system in it, with the amp mounted to the plexiglass back. The two subs are both in glass boxes that are inside a cutout in the carpet trunk. Going to put red neon light in trunk so when you lift up trunk it illuminates the system which is also red. I have my eyes on a billet grille, also on hid headlights. Already have 20 inch Lexani rims on it, flip out cd player, woodgrain dash kit, special edition chrome decal thing on back. Also have extra cadillac crest mounted on left side of trunk, and also on glove box inside of car. Have an aftermarket woodgrain steering wheel, and also aftermarket exhaust. It is a flowmaster dual pipe, and have brand new chrome tips placed on exhaust system. If there is anything else that you think would be cool of me to do with my cadi, please help me out. I want to take this car to competitions so I need your best ideas, thanks.

I'm thinking about putting a header, new flowmaster exhaust system, new intake manifold, K&N filter and cold air intake. What kind of performance gains can I expect on my 1989 Ford F-250 7.5L engine?
